Flower Haven

Started off Yesterday morning with a cappuccino and then hit the road to St. Petersburg. It is always nice to go home and see family and friends, and I am really getting sick and tired of Gainesville. It is weird that after only 3 1/2 years here I am so ready to get out! There are some of my friends who tell me they never want to leave and I look at them like they are crazy every time. I am just over doing the school thing, I really can't wait till the day I can go to work and come home and not have to worry about school or tests or papers...oh, what a glorious day that will be!

Once on the road, Puma and I shared the next  2 1/2 hours of highway blaring and jammin' out to country music. Once home, I was able to drop off Puma at my parents' and then my mom and I were off to the florist for our first consultation!! :)

Our florist is RedmanSteele. Can I express how extremely excited I am!! After discussing the flowers that we will be using throughout the ceremony, reception and all of the bouquets, I think that it is going to be absolutely beautiful, with a vintage and classy feel.

Here is a little sneak peak of what some of the flowers will look like:

Bridesmaids bouquets will be something like this...

Half of the centerpieces we used this as our inspiration
The other half we used this as inspiration

I know that RedmanSteele does absolutely beautiful work, so I am not worried one bit, everything is going to look great and I am so excited!! Just wish it would come faster!

If you are planning a wedding, what inspiration did you use for your flowers? Was it something you saw at another event or wedding? Or did you just scramble the web to find something perfect? Share you thoughts and comments, I love to hear feedback.

After a brief 2 hour and 30 minute appointment...whew...mom and I headed over to the health food store to grab a bite to eat for lunch. I had a delicious ancient incan wrap, which included quinoa, lettuce, carrots, black beans and hummus, YUM!! While my mom devoured a delicious looking salad and some wedding soup. I love hanging out with my mom! Over the years she really has become more like my friend and I look up to her so much. She is such an amazingly strong, Christian woman who sets such a great example of how I would like to be as a mother.
