Sisterly Art

Happy Monday everyone. Today I was informed that my little sister has a blog showcasing her artwork and I was so excited! My younger sister is only 17-years old and she has been an amazing artist as far back as I can remember. She is so talented and has recently been accepted into SCAD, a private and quite prestigious art institute in Savanna, Georgia. She has also applied to the University of Florida (probably pressure from my dad and the fact that both my brother and I attended there) but won't find out until February if she gets in or not. Personally, I think that she would be better off at SCAD to push her to follow her passion and her improve her talents, but money is a huge issue.

Here is a sneak peak at some of her work:

This piece is actually going to be featured in the grand re-opening of the Salvador Dali Museum

More can be found at her blog: http://hendrickssketchbook.blogspot.com/

If anyone knows any way to help her get scholarships or has any interest in purchasing a piece of work, please e-mail me at mhendricks2715@gmail.com. She is always more than willing to take any opportunity to excel.

  2. Yeah, we have heard nothing but great things about SCAD...I think she should go there, but it's all about the money, you know how it is.
