You Are Loved

I ran into a situation a while back where I felt completely judged by another parent. Judged for something that seems so silly. For the fact that I was (still am) tired. I thought about writing an anonymous letter to said parent, but instead I wanted to take a moment to encourage and build up any other mamas or parents out there that are in the trenches with me.

I totally get that we all have different parenting styles. That is good! We all need to do what is best for our children and for our home. I also think that said parent, whose kids are now grown, may have blocked these little years from their memory, because let's face it. It's hard. But can we please stop judging one another for doing things a little differently than us? Why is it so hard for us as parents, nay, as human beings, to encourage and build each other up? Is it because we are all insecure and want to make ourselves feel better? Remember what your parents and grandparents told you, "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all." We call this the Golden Rule in my house.

Let's just all take a moment to realize that life is hard. That is a promise. But let's work together and remember that the Creator of the Universe is on our side. He is the ultimate example of love and grace and strength. He loves you (and me) and is cheering us on to be the best parents, and people, we were created to be.

God knit each of us, individually and specifically, in our mother's womb to be the unique person we are. He loves you! Do you know that? I know some days I need to remind myself of this simple truth. That I am a child of God and He loves me. He is on my side and He is right here with me through every struggle, as well as every victory.

To any other parents out there who are tired. I feel ya! I also know a day will come when these babies will be grown and we will get to rest once again. I think we just need to hold on tightly to each stage and each moment of life, because before we know it, it will be gone. Remember daily that you are never alone and you are loved!
