Baby No. 3 :: 40 Week Bump Update

9:45:00 AM

Well folks, we have officially made it to baby girl's due date. I was having some mild contractions all day yesterday and was trying every trick in the book to keep the momentum going, but low and behold, she is still tucked nicely in my tummy.

This is always the hardest part of pregnancy for me. I am not the most patient person on the planet, and waiting on God's timing to bring these babies Earthside is definitely something I struggle with. I can definitely feel she is moving in the right direction and things are happening (gradually), it is just harder than ever this time because I am so ready to meet this little lady!!

Just a few of the things I have been doing to try to get this little love out of my tummy:

- raspberry leaf tea (I think I drank 5 cups yesterday) and have already had one this morning
- squats
- walking
- pineapple
- I currently have Clary Sage diffusing in the house
- nipple stimulation
- sex
- the labor dance --- I did this on and off all day yesterday, and this is what I feel is starting to move her along the most. It has been stimulating contractions and moving her down...but nothing is staying around long enough to move me into active labor. Will be doing more of this today for sure!

If you have any advice or other tricks on how to kick start labor I would love to hear what some of you have done that was successful.

Here is (hopefully) my final bump update:

How far along? 40 weeks
Total weight gain+35 pounds
Maternity clothes? Yes and No
Stretch marks? none
Sleep: I have actually been getting a decent amount of sleep lately, however anytime I wake up in the middle of the night I feel compelled to do a good amount of squats and stretching just to help prepare my body for the task ahead.
Best moment of this week: Reaching my final day of work (today)...this definitely helps me feel more relaxed and ready for her to come.
Miss Anything? Just being comfortable. I'm ready for little lady to be out of my tummy.
Movement: Starting to slow down, which I know is a good sign!!!
Food cravings: Chocolate + Peanut Butter
Anything making you queasy or sick? Not today..
Have you started to show yet? Silly Question?
Gender: girl
Labor Signs? Tons of Braxton hicks this whole month and experiencing plenty of prodromal labor the past few days...come on baby! It's time for you to come out so we can meet you!
Belly Button in or out? in
Wedding rings on or off? on
Happy or Moody most of the time? A little moody, but I think this is stirring from my impatience. Other than that I feel happy and have had plenty of energy lately.
Looking forward to? Labor. I know that sounds literally insane, especially if you have ever delivered a baby naturally before (it is definitely no walk in the park), but this is the last time I will ever have this experience. Our bodies are just absolutely incredible and I am honestly looking forward to the moments of pain that will bring me this little baby.

Thank you for bearing with me on this pregnancy journey. I am praying that the next post I have for you will be the birth of our precious new little one. I am trying to completely trust in God's perfect timing and know that He has an amazing plan for her birth. I just need to be patient + trust.
